The 30-Second Version
Smart Dental Billing does not use cookies on this website
We don’t track you. We don’t run analytics. We don’t load third-party pixels. We don’t sell or share visitor data. There’s nothing to opt out of, because there’s nothing turned on.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser to remember things about you – what you clicked, how often you visit, whether you’re logged in, whether an ad you saw last week worked. Most sites use them. Some use a lot. Some use a few.
We use zero. Not one cookie gets set in your browser when you visit any page on smartdentalbilling.com.
What we don’t do
This part is easier as a list. Here’s what’s not running on this site, full stop:
- No tracking cookies. We don’t drop anything in your browser to follow your behavior across pages or sessions.
- No Google Analytics or similar tools. No GA4, no Microsoft Clarity, no Hotjar, no Plausible, no Fathom. We don’t measure traffic with anything that profiles visitors.
- No advertising pixels. No Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no TikTok pixel. There’s no retargeting on this site because there’s nothing to retarget with.
- No third-party embeds. No YouTube videos, no Google Maps, no chat widgets, no reCAPTCHA. Nothing on this site quietly phones home to a third party.
- No session tracking. We don’t watch where you click, how long you stay, or which pages you read in what order.
- No data sale or sharing. We don’t have visitor data to sell, and we wouldn’t sell it if we did.
Why this matters for dental practices
Dental offices handle protected health information every single day. The vendors you trust with that information should take privacy seriously – and that includes their own marketing websites.
It would be a strange thing for us to ask you to trust us with your patient data, then quietly track you on the very page where we’re pitching our services. So we don’t. Our zero-cookie website is the smallest piece of a broader commitment to handling data carefully. Read more about how our team operates.
A note on HIPAA. Smart Dental Billing is HIPAA compliant and signs a Business Associate Agreement with every dental practice we work with before we touch any system or patient information. Cookie-free marketing pages are one outward sign of how we operate. The real work happens inside your practice management software, under that BAA.
What about contacting us
If you fill out a contact form or send us an email, you’re handing us your name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever you write in the message. We use that information for one thing – getting back to you.
It doesn’t get loaded into a CRM that’s tied to ad networks. It doesn’t get enriched with third-party data. It doesn’t get shared. If you stop emailing us, we stop hearing from you. That’s the whole loop.
If this ever changes
If we ever decide to add analytics, a chat widget, or anything that would set a cookie, this page gets updated first. No sneaking it in, no buried disclosures. You’ll see the change documented here, with a new last-updated date, before you see it live on the site.
Questions about this policy
If you have any questions about how we handle visitor data, or want clarification on anything written here, email us at info@smartdentalbilling.com or call (630) 449-2889. We’re a small US-based team and we read every message ourselves.
Common Questions
Quick answers to what people ask us about this most often.
Does Smart Dental Billing use cookies on its website?
No. This site does not set any cookies in your browser – not for tracking, not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. You can check your browser’s developer tools to confirm.
Does this site use Google Analytics?
No. We don’t use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics tool that runs in your browser. We have no traffic dashboard for this site.
Do you have a Meta Pixel or Google Ads tag installed?
No. There are no advertising pixels on smartdentalbilling.com. We don’t retarget visitors and we don’t run paid ad campaigns that depend on tracking who viewed which page.
Why don’t you use cookies like other websites do?
Because we don’t need to. We’re a dental billing service. Our clients hire us based on results inside their practice, not based on optimized conversion funnels. Less tracking means less liability, less legal complexity, and a cleaner site. It also matches the way we think about data in general.
What happens to my information when I fill out the contact form?
It comes to us as an email. We use it to reply to your inquiry. It doesn’t get loaded into an ad platform, it doesn’t get sold, and it doesn’t get shared with third parties. If you become a client, we’ll handle your data under a signed Business Associate Agreement, separate from this website.
Are you HIPAA compliant?
Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every dental practice we work with before we access any patient information or practice management software. Our cookie-free marketing site is one piece of a broader commitment to handling data responsibly.
Do I need to accept a cookie banner before using this site?
No. There’s no banner, no popup, no consent flow – because there’s nothing to consent to. You’re free to read whatever you want without clicking through any agreement.
